Today, the HACC imposed an interim measure in the form of bail of more than UAH 3 million on Member of Parliament Anna Skorokhod, along with a number of procedural obligations, including wearing an electronic monitoring device. She is the key defendant in a case concerning the incitement of a businessperson to give a bribe of USD 250,000 for the alleged imposition of NSDC sanctions on a competing company.

According to the investigation, the MP headed a criminal organization in this case.

The prosecutor sought bail of more than UAH 10.5 million and the imposition of obligations, including the electronic bracelet.

During the prosecutor’s statement, the surnames of two other suspects were disclosed — Kapatsyn, who is the MP’s assistant, and their accomplice Stavenko.

The defense, in turn, insisted that the MP is not involved in the crime, that the suspicion is unfounded, and that the bail requested by the prosecutor was excessive. The defense asked the court to deny the prosecutor’s motion, apply personal recognizance, or reduce the bail amount.

In her statement, Anna Skorokhod said that she had been scheduled to fly to the United States on December 6.

The HACC has already imposed interim measures on the MP’s two accomplices. Her assistant was granted bail in the amount of UAH 1.5 million and their accomplice was remanded into custody with an alternative bail of UAH 4.5 million.
