On December 1, 2025, the HACC scheduled the case of Eduard Bagdasarian, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, for trial on the merits. The court also granted the prosecutor’s motion for a special in absentia trial, as the defendant is hiding outside Ukraine and is on the wanted list.

Bagdasarian’s defense lawyer objected to the special court proceedings, arguing that Bagdasarian had not been properly declared wanted.

The defense also requested that the motion to merge this proceeding with the case of MP Dmytro Isaienko and his accomplice Oleh Dynola be referred to the panel hearing the present case. The issue of consolidating the cases will be considered by another panel of judges at the next hearing on December 11.

As reported earlier, according to the prosecution, MP Dmytro Isaienko, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada Eduard Bagdasarian, Yurlov, Director of Derzhbudkombinat, and his adviser, Oleh Dynola attempted to unlawfully seize 8 hectares of state-owned land in Kyiv for development purposes by transferring it at an undervalued price.
