On October 7, the NABU and the SAPO referred to court the case of former Member of Parliament Oleksandr Hranovskyi, accused of organizing the sale of raw materials from the Odesa Portside Plant at below-market prices, which caused losses of over UAH 93 million to the enterprise.

The defense has reviewed the materials of the pre-trial investigation.

According to the prosecution, Hranovskyi devised a scheme under which the Odesa Portside Plant JSC sold mineral fertilizers at reduced prices to an intermediary company, which then resold them at market value. The scheme operated from March to December 2015. As a result, the plant suffered losses exceeding UAH 93 million.

The actions of those involved have been classified under Article 364(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Former MP Hranovskyi, his trusted associate, and the company owner have been placed on the national and international wanted lists. A special pre-trial investigation was conducted in their absence.
