On October 22, 2025, the HACC found former MP and former head of the Ternopil Regional Council Mykhailo Holovko guilty of failing to declare assets worth over UAH 4.2 million. He was sentenced to pay a UAH 68,000 fine and barred from holding public office in state or local government bodies, except elective positions, for one year.

The investigation established that in his 2022–2023 asset declarations, Holovko failed to declare an apartment of 201.9 square meters owned by his mother but used by him and his family. In addition, in his 2022 declaration, he omitted information about funds held in his bank account and about his family’s ownership of a parking space, a car wash, and a storage unit.

As a result, Holovko concealed UAH 2.2 million worth of assets and an additional UAH 2 million, totaling over UAH 4.2 million. His actions were qualified under Article 366-2(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Notably, this is Holovko’s second conviction for a corruption-related offense. On June 18, 2025, the HACC sentenced him to nine years in prison with asset confiscation for accepting a UAH 600,000 bribe. The defense appealed that verdict, and the case is currently under appellate review.
