On September 25, 2025, the HACC partially granted the motion of NABU detectives and imposed an interim measure on Liudmyla Kropyvna, a judge of the Northern Economic Court of Appeal, who is suspected of illicit enrichment and false asset declaration. The court set bail at UAH 5 million.
In addition, the court imposed procedural obligations on the suspect: to appear upon first summons by the investigator, prosecutor, or court; to notify of any change of residence or employment; and not to leave the Kyiv region without permission.
According to the NABU, at the end of 2021, Liudmyla Kropyvna acquired two land plots and a residential house in the Kyiv region. The total value of this property exceeds her lawful income by more than UAH 16 million. Real estate websites listed the properties for nearly USD 1 million, while the final purchase price amounted to about USD 900,000 (approximately UAH 24 million at the NBU exchange rate on the date of acquisition).
Law enforcement authorities allege that in her 2021–2024 asset declarations, Kropyvna deliberately understated the value of the acquired property.
Her actions have been classified under Article 368-5 and Article 366-2(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illicit enrichment and false asset declaration. She was formally served with suspicion on September 22.
