The HACC has completed the preparatory phase and scheduled the trial in the case of former Ministry of Defense official Oleksandr Liiev and his accomplices over the alleged embezzlement of nearly UAH 1.5 billion during ammunition procurement.

The judges also decided to refer this case to another panel that is currently considering the Liiev–Nakhkur case concerning the embezzlement of more than UAH 130 million from the Ministry of Defense, in order to determine whether the two cases should be heard in a single set of proceedings.
