The NABU and the SAPO have notified a Member of Parliament and a regional council chair of suspicion of false asset declaration amounting to over UAH 8 million. The individuals are reportedly Yuliia Didenko and her husband Hryhorii Didenko, who serves as head of the Odesa Regional Council.

According to the investigation, the officials failed to declare over UAH 8 million worth of assets in their 2021–2023 asset declarations.

It was also established that between 2021 and 2024, the couple acquired nearly UAH 5 million worth of property without confirmed sources of income.

As a result, a SAPO prosecutor filed a civil lawsuit seeking to recognize the assets as unjustified and recover almost UAH 5 million in favor of the state.

Their actions have been preliminarily qualified under Article 366-2(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
